How to determine the Personal Folders File (.pst) format

* View the Format field to see whether it contains the text Personal Folders File or Personal Folders File (97-2002).
If you see text personal Folder File in Format field, then the PST file you are using is in new format. But if Personal Folder File (97-2002) is getting displayed in Format field, then you are still using the earlier PST file format. You can also upgrade the PST file version if required.
